Do you stay on the line if you hear the dial tone?

I feel like I should know this by now, but generally, do you just hang up or can you wait and it will go through once the line of the person you are calling is no longer busy? Do you have to call again when the line is no longer busy in order to reach the person?

On my iPhone it lets me know when I have another incoming call, but lately I've been trying to participate in a radio contest where you have to be a certain number caller in line and I never know whether to hang up and try again when I do get the dial tone or if I can just keep it on the dial tone until it connects you after their line is no longer busy?

Is it right for a teacher to record me?

Basically, I was in this argument with the head, and this deputy head comes behind me. I'll be honest, there was some swearing going on etc. And the dep head pulls out his phone, and starts recording me (I heard the iconic record sound from the iPhone play). I said 'Why you recording me' and he said to show my dad? My parents aren't too happy and neither am I, I'll admit I was being a brat, but can a teacher legally do that?

What jobs will I be able to do as a blind person?

I'm a 17 year old blind girl living in London, and IIm currently doing my AS levels. When I was a bit younger I always used to think that I would never let my disability stop me doing what I want in life, but know iim not so sure. IIm not that great with technology, are use my iPhone to do all my research but I don't really know how to use those speech program is like supernova all jaws on computers and laptops. I keep thinking to myself what job will I be able to do? IIm interested in journalism and news broadcasting, but I don't really know, can a Braillist become a journalist or broadcast the news? IIm really lost and actually quite worried. Most people in my classes at school do a job in the evenings or on weekends, mostly as shop assistants, I want to do voluntary work too but I wouldn t really be able to work in the shop would I?
