My iPhone 4s was stolen a few months ago and today I was messing around on iCloud and noticed my old iPhone was still being tracked. So I'm still able to see the area the guy has it in. He changed the iPhone's name (where it shows which devices you're locating) from mine to his, which I searched for on Facebook, and since it's a foreign name, only one person showed up. I check his "check in's" things to see where he's been when posting on FB, which a lot of which are really close to where I tracked him. His address doesn't show up on his profile but I can see where he's been and where he is. But I do have some info on him (What country he's from, where he went to school, DOB, current town, and lots of pictures. I registered the phone serial number when I first got it so I want to prove that the phone is mine. So my main question is, if I prove to the police that the phone's serial number is registered to me, I can track where it's at, show him everything I just wrote, and proof that I bought it (Still have all the receipts), would that cop be able to go check the phone's serial number and return it to me. If not, I'm still able to lock the phone, wipe it, and send it messages, so should I just tell him all this and try to scare him into giving it back?
