What should I do, it seems like I'm lying but I'm not?
My sister is 15 years old. So for the past 2 1/2 years my sister has had a really old phone that costed about $200 with only texting. I had a job last year when I was 16 and bought myself an my first phone, an iphone that I've been using since then. My sister and I are both friends with this guy, and he asked me why my sister has such an old cheap phone (he asked in a much nicer way haha and we're friends so it was fine.) I told him that I bought my own phone and my mom would never have paid for it which is true, and that she contributed about $100 though. So this Christmas my mom is getting my sister an iphone, which is way over her usual price limit for gifts. It's because she's going to be studying abroad and my Mom wants to be able to face time her and her old phone is about finished! Anyways, I don't want it to seem like I'm lying about being poor for attention or something! The truth is we're middle class, my mom just doesn't think she should spend $450 on a phone for us, until now anyways! I'm really thankful for everything my mom has given to me I just don't want it to seem like I was lying!
