Buying an iphone for the first time and just wondering if messages/emails sent by my friends through Facebook and gmail show up in the regular iphone message box?
Or do you have to log into a FB or gmail app to receive them.
We're planning to get our daughter an iPhone 4S or 5. My daughter doesn't talk much but would use it for apps, texting, making videos, taking photos, etc.
I foresee us getting another phone for her in 2+ years. I'm thinking the 4S would be fine but what significant improvements might make the 5 better? Or do some people prefer the 4S to the 5 (and why, if so)? The price difference between a 16gb 4S ($360) and 16gb 5 ($405) is small but there's no point if people prefer the 4S to the 5. We won't spend the $550 for the 5S.
As for plans, the Virgin Mobile plan seems like our best bet at $30 a month for unlimited texting and data (even though the data is slower after a certain point) and 300 minutes for calls. There may be better plans out there price-wise but I'm not aware of it. A negative of the plan is that VM phones are difficult, if not impossible, to unlock so using them outside the US Is impossible. But we could use my daughter's current unlocked Pantech (AT&T) GSM phone if we were to go outside the US

I purchased an iPhone 5 from t-mobile in August, and I signed up for Jump. A couple days ago my phone began to make a weird popping noise every time I swiped or put a little pressure, it won't stop, will the Jump insurance cover this or will I have to pay the $175 fee to get a new one?
I have an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to text a friend and I text them and it says delivered but then a few seconds later it says not delivered. It is doing it to only this one person and it randomly started doing this. When they text me it comes in as text. How can I fix this? What is wrong?
Anyway, been considering getting my boyfriend one for christmas as he once showed interest in getting one. However, he has an internet TV, so he can get lovefilm and youtube on that (I'm not really sure what else lol, but I'm sure there are plenty of other things) so I can't really see the point in him getting one from what I understand about apple TV's?
They're mainly so you can use internet on your TV right!
But, then again, I don't know too much about these things, so if anyone has one/knows enough to tell me the differences between that and an internet TV then that would be so much help! And what actually is an apple TV and what does it do, my understanding might not be (probably isn't!) accurate.
I suppose he could access itunes and stuff, and it's portable, but I can't really think of anything else! But that's me, I'd like to know what someone who is a bit more into these things thinks lol.

So I have a two year old iPhone 4S and live in turkey. We went to the states in summer, in which I had to turn off my cellular data and stuff so I don't get charged, when we came back, I turned all of it back on, but whenever I leave my house, I can't go on Instagram or twitter or anything. Why does this happen and how can I change it? This has been going on for two to three months
My i phone is jailbroken and now i do not need it anymore so i want to restore it. I tried doing everything and everytime its done downloading the update it says an error code number 3004. I have researched it a dozen times and i can't find the answer… My phone has been running extreamly hot lately and i think its because of the jailbreak. Thus the retoration. Any help would be appreciated!
I have an iPhone 5 with ios7 and my email aren't coming through as I receive them. I have to go on my emails and then refresh it and the mails come through then. I've asked people with iPhones and for them the emails come automatically. Can anyone help? Cheers
