I have a Sprint iPhone 4 that I forgot the passcode to and it now says CONNECT TO ITUNES, and won't let me do anything else. When I put it in DFU mode and attempt the restore, everything goes right until the end it gives me an error. The restore has to also update my iPhone from 6.1.2 to 7.04 if this information helps any. Also I noticed that there's a new version of iTunes that I need to download. Could that be the problem?

My daughter is 12, and she has Down's syndrome. Sometimes she wanders off. And I hate the fear that it installs in us all. You think she is with a friend, and you go to pick her up and they said she said she would walk home two hours ago… Or you go to the toilet and she has gone out the door when you return. (Yes we have tried locking the doors, but then there are the windows… ) and we just want to be able to find her, not keep her from being a child. She functions in what little trAffic there's around here and is not in more danger than other children.
Is there an app I can install on her Samsung phone that allows me to track her whereabouts with precision when she forgets that she is not alone in the world? And, no I can't just call her as she doesn't seem to hear the phone when wandering.
The app I have on my own iPhone to track it with in case it is stolen demands my iTunes password to be activated and I do not want anything like that if I can avoid it. In respect of her privacy, I want something I can install on both phones and put in a password that gives me her location, but not allows me to see what else she might have on her phone. She is 12 and has done nothing to deserve loss of privacy. It's only so we can find her when she wanders off… The alternative is to lock her up and that is not an alternative at all.

I noticed a few weeks ago that my iPhone battery was draining extremely fast and then today it got Really Really hot and the battery completely died. I didn't even use my phone today I just turned it on. I think it might be a short circuit or the battery. I can still plug in my phone and it will turn on but the top right side of the phone gets extremely hot and then it spreads to the rest of the phone and my battery says it's "charging" but doesn't actually charge and I've seen it actually loose battery life while charging. It will not sustain life after it's unplugged. I do not have anything running on my phone as well as no calendar or any other updates/software running and I have my Wi-Fi and data turned off and it hasn't changed. It all started when the lock button got stuck, then the vibrating motor broke and now my battery doesn't work. If I do need to get my battery or my circuits changed how much would that cost me from Apple when I'm not covered under warranty?
