For some strange reason, certain functions of various programs cease to function after using my laptop for about an hour. For example, when my computer is freshly booted and I open up iTunes, everything works fine. At some point, however, I will not be able to drag music to or from the program, or put music onto my iPhone. The file will simply not budge.
Also, I have various sounds attached to certain functions of the computer (ie.minimize window, low battery alert, etc.). Sooner or later they will simply stop, after which there's NO sound coming from the speakers. Music will not play in iTunes, the play bar will simply freeze and the program will ultimately lock up.
Another example of this problem I've noticed is in Photoshop CS5. Functions of the program will just stop working. Both a manual File>Save and Ctrl+S will bring up a save window, but it will not actually save the file. Sometimes File>Save and Ctrl+S won't work at all. At this point, you can't even open new images. Once again, the dragging feature is inoperable.
All of these issues seem to be fixed by resetting the computer, but it's only a matter of time before they happen again. And again. I can't tell you how much of a HUGE letdown it is to be working on important design files and suddenly I'm not able to save them.
Please note that the above problems are only the ones that I have noticed most frequently and that have interfered with my general use of the computer. The "disabled dragging" is the most noticeable issue.
