Is the messages thing on iphone 4s free?

I don't text but want to start texting by using the messages thing on my iphone (it is the icon in the top left of the home screen). I want to text for free and not have to be charged per text on my AT&T account. Is there a way to send a text through the "messages" thing by just using Wi-Fi? In other words, is it possible to send free texts without having to install the "free texting app"? Your input would be appreciated.

My Iphone 4 won't charge anymore? - 1

It does charge, but it goes from 3%, charges up to 8%, then back to 2% . I don't know what's going on! Its so annoying, people keep telling me its broken, but i've only had this phone for not even 2 years and its so stupid.i've checked everything on my phone and everythings fine but can someone tell me how to fix this! Please a quick answer. I don't wanna buy a new phone for another 200$… I'm only a 15 year old girl! Aha

Emails will not move from in box to existing folders?

I know how to move emails from my in box to an existing folder. However, with the new version it frequently does not happen. My work around for now is to use my iPhone to move emails but that really shouldn't be necessary.
