Is worth getting an iPhone 5s from T-Mobile or Verizon?
I've had my Galaxy Nexus phone for quite a while now and wanted to finally switch over to iOS and get an iPhone 5s.
I wanted to know if it's worth getting an iPhone from T-Mobile and paying the full retain price of $649 with a monthly bill of $50; or paying a down payment of $150 with my monthly bill of $70.83 (my monthly bill would be $50 but $20.83 is added for 24 months to pay off the phones full retail price of $649.) A basic monthly bill at T-Mobile is unlimited talk/text with 500MB of data or add $10 to 2GB data. In two years I would have paid $1849.92 (70.83*24+150) for the basic 500MB data plan.
With Verizon I'd be paying the subsidiary of $200 for the iPhone 5s with my monthly bill of $80 with of course a 2-year contract, so in two years I would have paid $2120 (80*24+200). The $80 monthly bill at Verizon covers $40 for using a smart phone and $40 for the 500MB or $50 for 1GB data and $60 for 2GB and so on.
Quality of service is always a factor so obviously Verizon wins since it has the most coverage in the US, but I'm trying to save money in the long run and I'm just debating which to go to. I currently have T-Mobile and service is satisfactory and I can possible get on a family plan with one of my family members on Verizon but I can't be certain of that.
