I ordered an ipone5s from Verizon. I missed the first attempt that fedex tried to deliver, so I called and told them to hold it, and i went and picked it up the next day. Then i drove to work, and decided to open the package there, and all the accessories were inside the normally sealed fedex box, except my phone. However, the iphone box was not sealed (which is why I don't think Verizon couldve done this, because if Fedex received an unsealed iphone box they wouldnt just put it in the package) I contacted both Verizon and Fedex, and Fedex emailed me a claim form which i filled out and sent back to them. They told me they will contact me in 5-7 days but they didn't. 9 days later i decided to call them, and they notified me that my claim was denied, because there's no evidence. I don't understand how anyone would ever have evidence in this situation, because no one ever opens their package in front of the fedex worker. I ordered my phone right when it came out so i can be one of the first to have it, but now i have to wait another 2-3 months, because its out of stock. I bought it with an upgrade price, which came out to be about $288 with the upgrade fee and tax included. On the claim form, I asked for the full retail price of the phone back ($649.99) because if I tried buying the phone again, they won't give it to me with the upgrade price anymore. Also, my workplace has cameras, and I'm sure if I ask my boss he can get me the video of me opening my package and seeing that my phone isn't inside, I don't know if this will help. Now, i'm all out of options and stuck with an old cracked Iphone4, and I really need some help figuring out what I can do to get at least the $288 back, if not the full retail price of the phone. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
