I finally get to update my phone but i'm on a budget. I'm looking at the 16 gig htc one mini or the Iphone 5 theses phones are both 100 dollars. But now i'm just looking for a good phone for a cheap price. Is 16 gigs enough? And Which phone should I get between these two?

I have an iphone, when I bought it, it was on ios 6.1.3 I updated it to ios 7 when it came out. I don't really like it so I was wondering if I I could downgrade my iphone to ios 6.1.3 if I restore my iphone through itunes
I've had my iphone for a few months and never registered it.iTunes keeps bugging me to register it and I was about to, but I wasn't sure if the entire phone will erase (all contacts, messages, notes, etc.)

My gevey sim for my iphone 4 has been working fine for a while, but my phone ran out of battery the other day and I had to reunlock my iphone. The phone is unlocked on iOS 4.3.3 with BB 4.10.01. I turned off 3g and turned on cellular data and data roaming. For some reason, its not working. The steps i did:
1. Inserted gevey w/sim and turned on the iphone.
2. Waited and hit accept and then waited for one bar.
3. Called 122 for 2 seconds and ended it.
4. Turned on airplane mode and waited for the message
5. Turned off airplane mode
6. Waited for signal
For some reasons, after step 6, the phone just says searching… And then says no sim installed. Where the signal should be, it says no sim. What do i do? I tried to reset the settings and network settings and still get this error!
Now I got a 5 year old cheep *** prepay net10. I have hade my eye on an iPhone for years. Can I buy net10 minutes and an iPhone at Walmart and be set? I'm poor and have been saving for years but I just can't pay $60 a month for a goddamn phone!
I'm thinking about getting an iPhone 5s, so I've been kind of researching Apple vocabulary (since I'm not very familiar with Apple products other than the iPod nanos--3rd and 7th generation--that I've had. So I've basically only dealt with music in iTunes all these years).
Is jailbreaking useful? What are the pros and cons to it? Will it cause problems? If so, what kinds?
If you can answer some, if not all the questions I just asked, that'll be great.
