What I mean is that I think my phone won't turn off completely.
A while back my phone suddeny shut off and wouldn't turn on unless the charger was plugged in. Some time after that, it would boot up and I would have to recover the phone or it would take me to the home screen. It would switch between the two randomly. So, I thought it was a software problem. There were other times it would boot up and show a completely filled battery, or times when it would show a completely drained battery. So, because of that I thought it was a battery problem.
Now, after a couple months later… I tried to see what the problem was again. I have iphone4 with the latest IOS upgrade. IOS 7. (I upgraded yesterday) Now it always boots up to the home screen and it never asks me to recover anymore. Also, the phone doesn't shut off when unplugged. However, sometimes it will shut off if it is idle for about 10-15 minutes or so. So now I think the battery isn't the problem anymore. Last night I charged it and turned it on. It showed 89%. The battery is being charged.
My concerns now are that if I turn it off, and plug the charger in, the phone boots up. Usually it shows the charging icon correct? So, that made me think the phone can't turn off completely. The other problem is that sometimes it will turn off and then booting up after the phone has been idle. It makes me think it's in some kind of sleep mode. Is it possible that the power button is the problem? Oh I forgot to mention something. If I turn it off, and press the power button without holding it, the phone boots up. Perhaps the power button is definitely the problem?
Thanks!
Added (1). My phone has been on for at least an hour without shutting down.
Another thing is that I have to shut off my phone to check battery percentage. It has showed 67% for the last hour. That made me curious so I rebooted and now it's at 31%
