Does erase all content and settings securley wipe?

I want to sell my iphone 4 to a friend of mine. I used to have some business info on the phone but i deleted it. I know deleting stuff doesn't "really" delete stuff and while i trust my friend i worry if somebody would steal the phone from my friend they could recover the deleted data. I've heard erase content and settings deletes the encryption key making old data unrecoverable but i don't know if its true. What's the correct way to securely sanitize my iphone before sale.

Why does my laptop keep losing Wi-Fi connectivity?

My laptop, a Dell Insprion, keeps losing Wi-Fi connectivity, and keeps showing the Wi-Fi connection as 'limited'. Wi-Fi on other devices like my iPhone works fine, while the laptop has problems. I looked at the power settings too, as it is sometimes set to switch off Wi-Fi to conserve power, but it does it even when plugged in.

Added (1). Also, it had no problems when I used it with the Wi-Fi in US for the past month. I'm in India now.

I have a Verizon iPhone and the bill is $100/month, should I get metro pcs?

I'm tired of paying $100 for an iPhone 4 through Verizon, it's hard for me to pay the bill every month with everything else I have to pay for.
If I switch to metro pcs will I save money? That's the question. I want the galaxy S3 with the $50 plan. After taxes and stuff I think it will be around $60. I'm guessing. Is the switch worth it? Does metro suck really bad?

My Verizon phone is broken, I want an iPhone now?

So I had a Verizon Samsung Intensity II, but for whatever reason it started malfunctioning and eventually just gave out. It hadn't been dropped, had no water damage or anything. It eventually just completely went white and won't turn on (I've taken the battery out, etc.). My parents agree that it's broken, and we're going to the Verizon store today, and I want an iPhone. My upgrade isn't due until next may, but I was wondering if my phone breaking would give me an early upgrade, since it wasn't my fault?

Iphone 3gs conversation display?

I'm using YM 2.2.8 on an iphone 3gs. I seem to be only seeing my side of the conversation. When a new message comes in I get the push notification and can see a summary of the message on the screen. When I go to the messenger app, the message is not visible anywhere. All I can see are the messages I've sent to my friend. What's going on? Anyone have any ideas?
