Why is it advantageous to own an iPhone as a Macbook Pro User?

I'm getting a Mac-book for college and I have a phone upgrade coming up and quite frankly I just don't know what to do with my technological life right now. I currently own an iPhone 3GS and feel as if i've been sucked into the Apple eco system which is why I would be okay with getting the iPhone 5, the technology just isn't there however. I want the Galaxy S4 but am a little paranoid about making the switch and crossing platforms because I would have to get into third party apps with the Mac to do what I want to do where as on the iPhone and Macbook i can do everything natively. Because they're compliments of each other. So what all disadvantages would I have in using an Android device such as the Galaxy S4 with Mac OS X and vice-versa?

My Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting?

My old modem died. I installed a new one and now my Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting. It disconnects on my Iphone but works alright on my pc?

How to get past ios 7 lock screen without dev. License?

I've been trying to update my iphone to ios seven, but I'm currently low on cash and can't at this time purchase the dev license, I was wondering if there was a way to get past the activation screen on an iPhone 4S. I've already discovered that the voicemail glitch does not work for me. Please help me, I would really like to have ios 7 and also would like to avoid purchasing a developers license.

I dropped my iphone and now it won't turn on?

I had my iphone 3gs in my pocket and unfortunately I dropped it into the concrete cement. Now i can't turn on my iphone as it is blank.whenever i try to charge it with iphone cable, apple logo is shown for some time and then it fades away and again logos appears and fades down. This is a repeatable process. Help me what i need to do to turn on my phone?

How to transfer music from my iPhone 5 to my Dell computer without iTunes?

I'm trying to put a PowerPoint together for Father's Day and I'm trying to add music to it that I have on my phone, the problem is I don't have iTunes and when I try to download it, it gives me errors that I can't download it. So now I have to get the music to my computer without iTunes and I'm not computer savvy at all.
