Iphome memory and usage

So I have a 16 GB iphone 5, and 0 bytes left. 3, 200+ pictures, a few folders of apps i use, and 108 songs. Lots of iMessages. Do the iMessages take up usage (NOT CELLULAR DATA) but as in memory on my phone? With my friend Jackie I have probably 20, 000 messages with lots of pictures etc but I do not intend on deleting them what should i do?

I have successfully jailbreaked my iphone 4 and activated it without a sim or Wi-Fi. Then i inserted my Airtel SIM (INDIA) and its not catching any towers i searched on google on how to activate sim or searching problems in iphone it says to download "ultrasnow" or "SAM activation ticket" through CYDIA but i don't have any Wi-Fi connection and i want to install them through my PC so is there's any way to install them through PC? Is it still worth it to buy an iphone 4?

About a year ago i signed a 2 year contract with a samsung galaxy s3 but a few days ago my telephone broke and they probably won't repair it because I voided the warranty by rooting the phone.

Next year my contract will be over and I can renew it and get a new phone but until then i need a replacement.
I'm really low on money right now and i really want to switch to iPhone so I was thinking about buying a secondhand iPhone 4 for about 200 dollar.

Is it still worth it? I will only be using it for 1 year.
