So I'm going to get an iPhone and the deal I'm looking at has 1GB Internet, could someone explain how much that is please? And does using apps like twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Facebook use up that 1GB?

Okay well right now I'm on sprint with my sister. We have unlimited everything and our phone bill is almost 200 dollars a month. This is ridiculous considering we don't even use a lot of data being on Wi-Fi most of the time, so it's pretty pointless to have unlimited everything. My friend was talking to me about Verizon and said its a better deal than sprint. I go to school and working on minimum wage at 7.25 an hour, so I'm not trying to have a very expensive phone bill each month. Does anyone know what the average monthly cost would be if I just switched my iPhone 4s and my number over to Verizon with a certain amount of data to be used? I don't know the different plans on verizon but just an estimate on how much it would be a month for just one phone.
I think the idea of jailbreaking is cool and want to do it but i'm afraid that i'll loose my pics/music and anything else on my phone. What are the pros/cons to jailbreaking?
