Lock button on my iPhone won't work?

I had just sent a text to my friend and I went to lock my phone but it wouldn't lock. I clicked it again and it gave me the option of turning it off. I turned it off but when I tried to turn it back on it wouldn't so I plugged it in to the computer and it turned on. My phone locks on its own for some reason. Is my lock button stuck or is it the whole phone? Any suggestions before I have to go to my mom about this?

Two iPhones, One Apple ID

In my household, there are two iPhones, and they both use the same Apple ID, and when one of them downloads an app, it appears on the other one's iPhone as well. Is there any way to stop that?
