Partially jailbroken iPhone?
A couple days ago, I had a friend help me do a semi-tethered jailbreak using Saigon and the Cydia Impactor tool. Worked fine, and I was able to use Cydia. However, I added a possibly malicious source to Cydia and tried to download AppCake--after the installation process, the screen went dark (still giving off light), rebooted, and most of my Apple applications were missing. Stuff like the phone app, Safari, settings… I restarted my phone and the apps came back, including Cydia, Saigon, and the other jailbreak apps I had on my phone. And then there was AppCake.
When I tried clicking on the apps, they all crashed immediately. Even Saigon, so I have no idea whether I'm jailbroken or not. Additionally, part of the Anemone theme I put on my phone is still showing. The firmware is on iOS 10.2.1, so the cell service signal is normally five circles. However, they are now bars, like you would find on more recent iOS versions. But the firmware is still the same version. The battery indicator is also screwed up. Aside from those issues, my phone works perfectly fine, but I would like to return to using Saigon and Cydia without fear that it will brick or ruin my iPhone SE.
I recommend posting this question to www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak but make sure to leave out the AppCake bit as piracy gets the question deleted. Just say you installed a malicious tweak and you should be fine.
- Worth it to buy jailbroken iphone 3gs or a new Iphone 4 from att? I would like a jailbroken/unlocked iphone for free apps and not having to pay for internet, but is it better to get a new iphone 4 from att?
- Why am I always partially charging my iphone 5? I have the app Battery Doctor and it says I partially charge my iPhone all the time… It says I will charge it for 3 minutes then unplug the iPhone. I only charge my phone at night so I never unplug it until the morning. Does anybody know what's going on?
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- What will happen if I try to upgrade my jailbroken iPhone 4S to an iPhone 5? I recentley jailbroke my iPhone 4S and after a while I decided to upgrade to an iPhone 5. What will happen if I take my phone to Verizon for a new iPhone 5? Will they say no because its jailbroken? Please answer as soon as you can. It would help if you have had experience.
