Paypal Through Craigslist, I'm Paying?

I'm Paying.

I'm very fluent with PayPal and know my protections.

The seller's story is he's out of town in Portersville, GA, which checks out because his area code is near Macon, GA which is very close to the area of dealing via Atlanta Craigslist.

He's PP verified, confirmed, and willing to give me verification pictures with text that I have given him to put on a paper.

Does this sound like a scam? It's for a 64GB iPhone 5S, most 16GB go for 350-400.

Sounds like a scam i used to buy and sell iphone on craigslist about 10-15 a week and there would always be those annoying people who would offer more and say to ship but it was a scam or those links with websites to buy phones which are also scams. I wouldnt but or sell a phone unless you are meeting them in person and make sure they have no water damage or arent bad esn. You can check a few websites for bad esn just google the site then in the site type the imei. Craigslist is hard to trust when it comes to cell phones.

Almost all phones sold on Craigslist are fake or stolen
Even if it's his phone, you pay, get the phone, then after 30 days they report the phone stolen to their insurance company so it gets deactivated and they get a new phone. And PayPal won't refund you after 30 days
NEVER buy a phone from anyone unless you can meet them in person at a phone store to transfer the account so they can't later report it stolen
