Phone overheating issues?
I have an iPhone 7 Plus and for the most part the temperature is fine.
I sometimes live stream on an app called MeetMe however and my phone just doesn't seem to get along with it well at all, it's not just me either I've heard many other people saying that this one app causes there phone to overheat so much that it'll turn off to cool down.
At the same time I've also heard from many others that they have no issues at all.
I first thought the problems were purely a result of my phone being over a year old now but my best friend has a brand new iPhone and she has the same issues.
I was just wondering if there's anything I can potentially do to limit this because I personally love live streaming and this is one of the best apps for doing so.
9x out of 10 it is the battery. Could be swollen or what not. I think it settings your own phone can analysis its battery. I would Google it and start from there
Agreed! Check you battery health in iOS. Sources below show the process on how to do it.
- Why is my iPhone 5 overheating? It's also killing my battery. I've barely used my phone today. I charged it overnight and started using it at 7 and its now 12:20 and I only have 14% plush phone is super hot. Why is it doing this?
- Why is my iPhone 4 overheating? It always says iPhone to hot get out of sun and shuts down, where I live it's 45F and cloudy, WTF!
- Overheating iPhone 5 after throwing it? I was very stressed out this morning (my roommate was defacing my property as a "joke") and in a moment of anger, I tried to throw my iPhone against my pillow, but I missed and hit the wall. Now it is overheating, losing battery life, and it is continually searching for a cellular signal. Any ideas how to fix it, or do I need to buy a new phone? *By the way, I know throwing the phone was stupid and wrong. I just need to find a solution to the problem at hand.
- My iphone keeps overheating? I have a iphone 4, with 6.1 update. I had it plugged in and I have an otterbox defender case and it shut off and gave me a temp warning. I could feel the heat through my otterbox. I had to get a second iphone because of this same problem. But when I unplug it, it cools down. Is it just the charger?
