Purchased a sprint iPhone 5 need unlocked?
I bought an IPhone 5 off kijiji they claimed it was with telus and I paid $400 for it and it ended up being with sprint is there anyway I could unlock it for free please list websites I called sprint they couldn't do anything about it also I called the guy and no answer I feel ripped off
No. The only people who can unlock a phone is the carrier, meaning Sprint. You would have to contact Sprint and have them unlock the phone, but I doubt they would do it. After all if I'm correct most likely sold it because the individual that sold it to you is behind on his payments and just want to sell his problem off to you. And with iOS 7 it is impossible to jailbreak unlock the phone, in fact it is a felony to do so.
That's because you WERE ripped off. It's an expensive lesson.
Sprint's iPhones have not been SIM locked in the past, so there should be no need to unlock the phone. However, LTE will not work with telus. If telus is a CDMA carrier, then the phone simply gets flashed.

Will the phone work with other GSM carriers available here provided it's a nano-sim? My friends are saying that they purchased iPhone 4 unlocked from US, it didn't work in India.
