Ruined iPhone screen, can't back up?

I recently ruined my iPhone 6 screen. It's cracked, with part of the screen black, and some of it with those colored vertical strips you see on ruined electronics. The main display is constantly changing too, with everything running up and down the screen. Unfortunetly it also lost battery before I had a chance to plug it in, so now it needs for me to type in my password before I can tell it to trust my compuer (same computer I've also had, but I've revently cleaned it up). But my screen can't unlock therefore I can't back up my phone before I get my new one. Any way around this?

If you were backing it up to iTunes on your computer, it should not prompt you to unlock the phone unless you changed the passcode since the last time you unlocked.

There's no "hard drive" in an iPhone. They use flash memory that joins to the logic board. If you did not already have it backed up, it's too late. You're going to lose your data.

Hope this helps!

  • Who here thinks iOS 7 ruined iphone? I seriously hate it. At first In was dying to get my iphone because of the update but now I just hate it. They so copied android and now I feel as if my iphone 5 is just an android phone inside it but outside its an iphone. Serously? What are your thoughts? And if there's possible way to return it back to the old update without reseting the whole thing can you please let me know?
  • My iPhone is ruined. Can I get my info back? Dropped it in the ocean. Genius, I know. Anyway, it's still drying out, so there's still hope. But if it is a goner, can I get my photos and things? I have "lost or stolen" insurance, so fixing the phone isn't an issue. It's getting my memories back.
  • My Iphone 4S now has a red jack-sensor after a minor splash. How can I tell if it is ruined? Everething else seems to be OK. However, battery life dropped from 13 to 5 in a short period of time. It's lying on a warm place now.
  • Is my iPhone ruined beyond repair? Got my iPhone Friday night. I just dropped it on the sidewalk (ironic, because a few hours ago, I had ordered a protective case.) and at first, all I saw we're little paint chips and scratches on the bottom. I clicked the home screen and heard a tiny crack, and now there's a small crack running along the bottom of my phone. Is there a way to fix the crack and scratches? I'm literally crying, as this was a gift my mom gave me.
