Scammed on ebay what do i do?

I "purchased " A I phone 5s but when I got my delivery guess what it was? I was a piece of paper that I paid for $149.99 on how to buy a iphone 5s! I opened a case and I messaged the seller telling him why did he send me a piece of paper and not the phone. He responded by saying it was a guide on how to buy a iphone 5s -___- ikr. Now what do I do to get my money back fast?

Dispute the transaction with PayPal.

There have been quite a few cases like this and Ebay always sides with the buyer in these situations. Years ago, there was even a case that went to trial. The buyer won.

You may be able to send it back. IPhone 5s are more expensive than that, don't you think?

Follow through with the dispute, eBay will most likely take your side.

Did you get ripped off? Yes. If you had fully read the description you wouldn't have. Chances are the scammer clearly stated somewhere that it was for information on how to get the phone cheap.

However you are still highly likely to get your money back. Information on how to buy these kind of things must be listed in the proper section. Also if the details were actually of a phone instead of the information to get one eBay will consider it a scam and give your money back. Next time read the description and you won't get all the hassle.

Do you still have a copy of the actual ad on Ebay? If the ad said it was a guide, not a phone, then you are stuck.
