Should I buy an iPhone 5 from the Apple store or from eBay?

The prices on the apple store seem much more reasonable compared to those on eBay. Which bargain would be better? Also what does it mean if an iPhone is unlocked? I need an explanation for this stuff as I'm to what many people refer to as "noob"

An unlocked phone means you can use it on any network (cell phone service) and its probably best to get it from the Apple store because you know it's never been used or messed with. Unless you don't have a monthly service with someone else then it might be best to get the unlocked one off eBay (amazon is better)

Buy an iPhone off the apple store duh! You can never trust eBay, they could've stolen the phone and then you buy it, you get in trouble! There's a lot of things that can happen on ebay! Just go to the apple store and buy it. And an unlocked iPhone is when you have a pass code on it, when you unlock it, that's called an unlocked iPhone. Hope this helped.

Well if they're more reasonable at the store then why wouldn't you go there? Also if something happens to it, you'll have a better chance they'll take care of that for you.

I don't understand why people put these questions. Are you so unsure about yourself that you ask something you already know the answer to or are you a total dips**? That's just ridiculous!

  • Why the iphone 5s is more expensive on ebay than in the apple store? I'm not complaining or anything just want to understand why would anyone buy it on ebay or what could be the reason why it is more expensive on ebay. Usually it is the other way around and on ebay you can get better deal but seems like when it comes to iphone 5s it is not the case. But why?
  • Where is the best place to buy an iPhone 4s: the Verizon store or the Apple store? I don't have an upgrade until January but am looking to buy an iPhone soon. I've been looking at the various sites and saw that there was a huge price difference between the Apple and Verizon stores. A rep at the Verizon store told me I wouldn't even have to change my existing plan, but just pay the $449 for the phone. Why would I buy an iPhone 4s from Verizon for $449.99 when they're sold on the Apple website for $99?
  • Should I buy the new IPhone from Verizon or the apple store? - 1 I posted this previously, but I didn't get to expand. From what I understand, I have three options 1) I can buy it from Apple at a monthly plan, paying 20-30 dollars a month 2) I can use my Verizon upgrade for 200 dollars, but then there are all these extra fees that I'm not aware of, if someone can clarify those that would be helpful 3) I can buy it from Verizon on a monthly plan, paying 20-30 dollars a month Which one of these options would you choose, and why?
  • Should I buy my iPhone at the Apple Store or the Verizon store? The plans and the phones themselves cost the exact same; the difference is the care plan. I just can't decide which one is best for me and I definitely want some sort of plan. Apple care is an upfront cost, but it is cheaper. I don't know how long either last, or which one takes care of the customers the best. Any opinions?
