Should I buy an iPhone 5s now?
I'm in need of a new phone but my budget is limited. I must get an iPhone, there's no other option, so I'm thinking about the 5S. My main concern is that it may not last for long since its kind of old now. Would anyone recommend buying one?
Yes, it's still a good phone. I just got my mom an iPhone 4 as her first phone and even that still works well. An iPhone 5s is a very good phone, even though it's not the latest model
It's still a great smartphone and if you don't feel like upgrading soon and handle carefully, it'll last you another 2-3 years.
It will last as long as it did when it was released, unless you're talking about a used phone.
As far as how long it lasts depends on how you maintain it. Some people can still work with the original iPhone on that basis.

Get it. The iPhone was the first 64 bit iPhone. So it has a lot more power, and you will have years before it gets laggy unlike the 5, 4, and 4S which were 32 bit.
