Should I let iPhone 5 die all the way before doing first charge?
I have some people telling me that I should let it die all the way before first charge and I have people telling me it shouldn't die.
Why?
its not the 80's.
you no longer need to do that with todays batteries.
charge whenever you want for how long you want it will be the same.
It doesn't matter I have one and it doesn't have a long battery if you use it a lot but it charges fast and that won't change if you let it die or not.

I've heard different things from different people lately: charging it on airplane mode, charging it all the way but not using any apps, etc. Is there a proper way to charge it for the first time to make sure the battery doesn't die quickly, or is there a preferred way that anyone has observed? - What if I didn't charge my iPhone 5 before using when I first got it? So I just got my first iPhone ever and didn't know that you're supposed to charge it for 8h first before beginning to use it. I charged it (even though it looks fully charged) as soon as I got home but as it was charging I sent out a few smses.
