Should I replace my iPhone 5c?
I recently received an iPhone 5c for Christmas. Two days after I got it the home button suddenly stopped working. For five days it did not work at all. So I called Apple and they told me to do some troubleshooting such as restoring the phone to factory settings. I did this but the home button was still not working so Apple then said they would replace the phone. However the day after I ordered the replacement my home button started working again. It was still stiff and took a few presses but it was working. I then received the replacement phone but now my home button is working perfectly fine, no longer stiff even. But I have the replacement phone and once I send my other phone back to Apple I will not be charged. But now I don't know if I should keep the original and send the replacement iPhone back or replace it in case the home button stops working again. Really torn here, the phone now works but would it be better to replace it?
It depends on what you have stored and whether you are able to make a backup of all things on the old one and transfer them to the new one. If you can do this, then I would suggest sending the old one back because if the old one stops working again, I do not think Apple would give you another replacement as they gave you a choice last time.
Take the new one. An intermittent home button is always going to be trouble.
You shoud try
Keep the new phone. Make a backup in iTunes or to iCloud of the old phone before you get rid of it unless you don't care about losing your phone's old data.
- Will Apple replace my broken iPhone 5 with another iPhone 5 or an iPhone 5S? The power button is no longer working on my iPhone 5, and there's 1 year warranty on it. If I were to being it to Apple, would they give me a new iPhone 5, or a 5S? I was just wondering because the iPhone 5 is no longer made or sold by Apple.
- Should i replace the back of my iPhone 4 before i sell it? It cracked last year, but I just put a screen protector over it and continued using it. Now my contract is up, and I'm selling it&getting the iPhone 5. Should I replace the back glass (since its easy to replace) before selling it, or would that cost more? Which would be cheaper?
- Should I replace my shattered iPhone 5 front glass myself or take it in? I ordered the front glass for my iphone 5 since it recently got shattered, the LCD works fine though. I heard it is risky it fix it myself so should I just take it in? Or is fixing it myself is a better option for the money?
- Should i replace my LG g3 to S5 or stick with it? I got my LG G3 for 5 days now, i'm liking it but the only issue is the battery. I'm from iphone 4s and this is my first android. Now i'm thinking if i should switch to s5 or just stick with g3? What do you think?
