Skype or Facetime for calling from US A. To Europe?
We're going to be in Europe for 2 weeks in September and want to know the best (and least expensive!) way to keep in contact with our kids at home in the USA We use Skype on our PC, but now that the kids have iPhones, we were thinking that Facetime might be an option. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
Skype!
I'm belgian but I live in the US. I talk
to my best friend all the time via skype
and it works well.
You can use facetime, works great over Wi-Fi and even internationally is free.
Either or would be fine. I'd use FaceTime personally though.
- Would the iPhone 5 work in Europe? My friend from Europe told me that the 32GB iPhone 5 is around 1300 $. I compared the price of the iPhone in the USA and it's around 850$ so my question is… If he was to buy the iPhone 5 here would it still work in Europe? Meaning, the charger and the outlets (different volts? I don't know about the layout of the outlets/plug required) Unlocking it? Being able to use it? Thanks so much! ---Or would he have to buy the iPhone 5 plan here for it to work and etc.
- Will the iphone 4 work in europe? Ok so i want to get this iphone from verizon, but i live in germany, does anyone know if it will work here?
- Is there a free calling app for iphone other than skype and Google Voice? I know pinger only gives you 10 free min. And then you have to "earn" or pay, but is there a completely free app for calling within the US? Thanks! Need one that also assigns you a phone number to receive calls.
- I restricted FaceTime from my child's iPhone 5s but she can still make FaceTime calls to her friends because there's a video icon? There's a video icon next to her friends name in her phone list. How can I completely remove this icon please?
