Will the iphone 4 work in europe?
Ok so i want to get this iphone from verizon, but i live in germany, does anyone know if it will work here?
Well texting or calling wise it depends on your plan it probably will cost roaming charges if your plan isn't unlimited. Everything should be fine
There's no way to make this phone connect to a German network.
Depending on version an iPhone 4 is compatible with either GSM or CDMA based networks. CDMA versions lack the hardware to operate on GSM networks and vice versa.
All cellphone networks in Germany are GSM based. As Verizon Wireless operates a CDMA network, an iPhone 4 provided by them would not be GSM compatible.
- Would the iPhone 5 work in Europe? My friend from Europe told me that the 32GB iPhone 5 is around 1300 $. I compared the price of the iPhone in the USA and it's around 850$ so my question is… If he was to buy the iPhone 5 here would it still work in Europe? Meaning, the charger and the outlets (different volts? I don't know about the layout of the outlets/plug required) Unlocking it? Being able to use it?
