I think you shouldnt Look at what looks cooler but what it has and what you need in a phone but the iPhone will makea a good impression on Your friends since its known and really expensive. The z1 compact is waterproof which can come in handy If youre going to a beach or somewhere with Your friend and take pictures in/under the The camera in z1 compact almost 3 times better(20.7 megapixel while iPhone has 8) don't get me wrong, iPhone still makes amazing pics but the z1 is better at it. The front camera is also better(z1c-2 mp and iPhone 1.2mp) Z1 c is more durable from what i Heard but didn't test it. It has almost twice better battery life. The iPhone on the other hand is a lot easier to use. It is a lot more expensive though. I gole i helped.
They both look cool actually. Sony z1 is like a large pancake in your hand, but iPhone has a perfect size. IPhone 5s looks better on my opinion.
