Sound not working on IPhone 4S?
I had my iPhone for about a month and the sound was working fine. But now for some reason when I get a text it only vibrates. Not even th key board clicks r working! How do I fix this?
Check to see if the silent switch is on. It's right above the volume buttons.
My phone had the same problem. If it is water damage, take a q-tip and peel some of the cotton away on one side. Try not to take too much off though, just enough so it will fit into your headphone jack. It should fit snugly. Push the q-tip in, and swivel for a bit, and when you take it out it should be working.
If it isn't that, then there might be a hardware issue, probably cause by dropping it or something similar, but it's probably water damage.
There's a switch by your volume buttons on the phone. If it is on the switch showing a red strip that means the audio is silenced or set to vibrate. If you turn the switch to where it is just metallic color without the red strip, then you will have audio on.
Check your settings. You might have do not disturb mode on.

It started today, if I try to watch a YouTube video without headphones and the phone is on silent, there's no audio. But if I turn the ringer on there's audio. Obviously I've looked at the volume levels, and they're up. Like i said its only started today and it's very frustrating!
