Speakers not working after plugging headphones in?

I dropped my iphone 6 in the bath and the speakers weren't working for like an hour however would work with headphones, I tried cleaning the headphone jack with a q tip however that didn't do anything but it randomly just turned back on however now whenever I put my headphones on and then take them out it takes about 2 minutes for the speakers to work again, help?!

Earphone jack cuts off speaker link while jack was inserted. As socket was wet, its contacts become rusted and no more making good contact to the speaker, or because you forced a thick size Q tip into it and result no more good contact connection to speaker.
Solution: change the phone socket or bypass the socket cut off function to speaker ( solder a jumper to short the defective set of contacts ).

Somethings when you plug in headphones the speakers are deactivated automaticlly

  • Why aren't my headphones to my iPhone 4s not working? I just got the iPhone 4s a couple of months ago. I haven't even touched my headphones until last night, & they're not working? I'm trying to listen to Pandora. I dunno what's going on. It seems if I screw in the headphones extra tight and keep hold it plays through the headphones for a second. Anyone else have this problem or know why this is happening?
  • Plugging your iPhone into a different computer? I have an iPhone 4 but I need to update the software on it but obviously I need to do that from iTunes. My problem is that the laptop I normally connect it to is all slow so it takes me like half an hour to switch it on. I wanted to know if I download iTunes on another laptop and connect my phone to it, would it wipe my songs and apps? If so, how do I stop that from happening?
  • My normal headphones won't work after using Bluetooth headphones? (iPhone 7)? I've been using AirPods for a couple months now and the battery is getting pretty bad so I decided to get some plug-in Apple headphones but those don't work. When I plug them in I get a "not supported" notification. I've also tried friends headphones that worked fine on there phone, so I know it's not just faulty wires.
