Step children that stole something from you?

Is it serious or not. I have a iPhone and always use the headphones and keep them by the couch. So I tuck them under the couch since I knew my husband son was coming, I know how children can be. So they left, I reach for headphones and not there. Earlier I glance and seen him with some but I thought they were his. Headphones missing isn't serious but the his actions is. I don't want to start any trouble and tell husband then the boy act like he don't have them, then I'll look crazy. WHAT TO DO?

I suggest you start by asking your husband if he has seen the headphones. Explain that you put them there yesterday (or whenever it was, just don't say "before your son came"). The idea is to get your husband to come to the conclusion that his son may have taken them. If he doesn't, then ask him if he thinks Johnny could have used them and forgot to return them. If he still does not take the bait, say that you are going to check with Johnny or, if you would rather, ask him to check with Johnny.

See? You are playing it down and not accusing, but still leading your husband right to the culprit. Sometimes if you give people an out, then take it and it avoids a scene while at the same time they know you did them a favor and they are therefore less likely to try that sh*t again.

Here's a thought. Ask the kid. Maybe he actually thinks their his from a previous visit or something.

Put your foot down now, before he starts going in your purse.

Simply ask him if you can have them back. He may have used them and walked off with them not thinking about it. I've done it on accident before.
