Switching from Boost Mobile to AT&T?

I bought a Iphone 4s from a friend of mine. I just need to get it activated by AT&T but i've gotta wait til the 24th when my boost plan expires. Is there a way I can transfer my number to my new provider? Please explain what I will have to do.

Your are incorrect. If you wish to port (transfer) your phone number from Boost to A T&T then you still need to have service with Boost Mobile before your transfer the number. Don't wait until your plan is over and you no longer have service with Boost Mobile then you won't be able to transfer your phone number to A T&T.

1) Make sure you have service with Boost Mobile. I suggest waiting 2 days before your plan expires.

2) Contact A T&T Customer Care and tell them you would like to activate service with them however you would like to port (transfer) your phone number from Boost Mobile to theirs.

3) A T&T will ask you for your account number will Boost Mobile and any passwords from your Boost Mobile account.

4) It will take about 24 hours to port your phone number from Boost to A T&T.

5) Once A T&T transfers your phone number. Your Boost Mobile will end and will close automatically.

* Do not contact Boost Mobile and tell them you are porting to A T&T. A T&T will handle all the arrangements and do the transfer for you and also close your Boost Mobile.
