Switching Sim cards from Iphone 5 to Android phone?

Probably a simple question, but I would like some input. I was wondering if I can take the Sim card from my iPhone 5 and use it on an Android or windows phone like the Galaxy 3 or Nokia Lumina? Is this possible and if it is how?

Also I have Verizon and if I can switch to another device I will get a Verizon Phone.

No, All I Phones use nano sims, and the other phones use micro sims! Totaly different sizes, unless you literally cut it with a template then it would work!

  • Will switching sim cards from one iphone to another work? Basically my iphone 4s charging port will not work and won't charge normally and stays at about 5 percent. It also won't connect to my PC. To avoid using i cloud and everything can i just switch one sim card to the new iphone 4s and will all my memory be on there? If not what will?
  • When switching my sim to an iphone do I have to wait for the sim to shut off first? I'm transferring my number from a normal sim to a micro sim for my new iphone. I did what they told me to do in the shop and now i'm to wait for my original sim to lose signal before i can put the new one into the iphone. Is it okay for me to go ahead and do that before the original sim loses signal or do I have to wait?
  • Switching SIM cards quesiton? I have an iPhone with a contact. If I were to get an unlocked iPhone on eBay or something and add the old iPhone's SIM card to the unlocked iPhone's SIM would it work or does it not work that way?
  • Switching sim cards, iPhone I recently got an iPhone 5c. I need to get my sim card switched over to a nano-sim, but this will take time as it is boxing day and nothing is open. I'm with amaysim, and at home we have a vodafone nano sim. If I use the vodaphone nano sim to set up my phone (as they can't be set up without a sim card) will I be able to switch sim cards later with no problems? Thank you! How do you find out if the phone is locked?
