Switching to iPhone.extra charge?
I currently have a cheap at&t phone and am on my mom's phone plan. My dad just upgraded to an iPhone 5 and doesn't need his iPhone 4 anymore. I was wondering if i switched to use my dads old iPhone would it raise my moms phone bill? My dad said as long as i don't use internet etc outside of Wi-Fi that it won't go up. Is this true or will just switching to the iPhone up the bill?
AT&T forces its users to a data plan when they start using their sim on a smartphone, They will automatically upgrade your basic phone line to a smartphone line with 300MB of data, which will cost you like $15.
- Will T-Mobile charge me extra for texting out of the country? One of my friends is in Egypt. She texted me last night and I hesitated to reply because I was afraid that they would charge me like $20 since its Egypt. I ended up replying once and now i'm afraid. My mom will kill me if they charge a lot. However, I have unlimited texting and she texted me from an app which is from the iphone i think… Will they charge me?
- IPhone loses charge overnight.a lot of charge. Why? My iPhone 4S was on 5.1.1 but i did restore the software last week and used a backup to also restore the files. Since then I have been losing about 35-40% of my battery overnight, I'm a very power-conscious person, I only use wi-fi, 3g when i need to and i usually keep everything off except data, notifications are to a minimum and location services are off as well as brightness being as low as possible. What is going on? Any help is appreciated
- If I use my iPhone as a hotspot, will it charge me extra on my sharing plan with Verizon? I'm mainly asking to see so we can get rid of our internet maybe and use our IPhone's. However, will it affect our bills with Verizon? Please help and if you need more details I will add updates to this!
- How should I charge my iphone 5 on its first charge? I heard that I should charge it for at least 12 hours before I use it. And then I heard that I should just charge it after I drain the battery. What should I do? If my iphone is already at 100% charged when I first take it out of the box, should I still charge it?
