Will T-Mobile charge me extra for texting out of the country?
One of my friends is in Egypt. She texted me last night and I hesitated to reply because I was afraid that they would charge me like $20 since its Egypt. I ended up replying once and now i'm afraid. My mom will kill me if they charge a lot. However, I have unlimited texting and she texted me from an app which is from the iphone i think… Will they charge me?
Yes they will. When i had t-mobile i took a trip to Mexico and they charged me a sh** ton for both calls and texts. Get a cheap prepaid phone while you're there, it'll save you money and a hassle.
Most likely, yeah. They will charge you a certain amount (between 20-75 cents) for each text. If you have a smartphone or an iPod, download a free texting app. It will give you your own number and uses the internet- not your cellular network- to send messages. You won't be charged.

- Switching to iPhone.extra charge? I currently have a cheap at&t phone and am on my mom's phone plan. My dad just upgraded to an iPhone 5 and doesn't need his iPhone 4 anymore. I was wondering if i switched to use my dads old iPhone would it raise my moms phone bill? My dad said as long as i don't use internet etc outside of Wi-Fi that it won't go up. Is this true or will just switching to the iPhone up the bill?
- Is there a problem with texting someone in a different country? So this person and I are both from the US and have American phone numbers. We both have iPhones so it's iMessage. This person is currently in another country on vacation. We're texting now, but I'm worried if any charges will occur
