Text messages to my iPhone and my iPad?
I receive text messages on my iPhone, but is there a way to also receive them on my iPad which only has Wi-Fi? Basically people that are texting my phone number rather than iPhone to iPhone.
Only if they are imessages, but yes you can set that up so it goes to both.
Only way your ipad will receive text messages is through icloud. And if the person that is texting you texted the apple id you have set up on the ipad.
Nope. That can only happen if they are iMessages, not texts.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- Receiving text messages on iPad to my email on iPhone? I recently changed my apple ID to my yahoo account. Now, when someone texts my iPad, it not only goes to my iPad, but goes to that email on my iPhone. It hasn't done this before. Anyone know how I can fix that?
- If I turn off push messages on my iphone 4 will I still get my regular text messages? I read that turning off push messages or setting them to manually helps save battery life. I want to know if I do this will I still be able to receive my regular text messages.
