Text not working in Sony Vegas Pro 11?

I'm editing my media coursework and need to add text to my project. When I go to add text, it does not show up in the video playback section.

All is well in the editing box for the text, I'm perfectly able to change the colour etc. However, the text doesn't exist!

It is vital that I have text in my project so this is starting to concern me as I do not know how to solve the problem.

The text was working before, I rendered my project and upon watching it back found the text hadn't work. I possibly may have clicked something, but I can't work out what!

Apologies that the screen shot is from my iPhone, the print screen button on my laptop no longer works. But as you can see, no text is visible on my project.

You see on your text layer that its dark grey instead of light grey? That means you've 'muted' the track so anything on that track won't show up. Basically on the left hand side where the track is numbered there are loads of different little icons when you hover over them they'll says "Bypass motion blur", "Track motion", "Track FX", "Automation settings" and "Mute" on the icon on the right of the mute button is a purpleish/blue exclamation mark, which when you hover over it will say "Solo"

So you've either clicked "Solo" or you've click "Mute" so whichever one is indented will be the one causing the problem.

See how the little circle of the left is indented? Just unclick it an you'll be back in business!
