Texting: Blackberry vs iPhone?
I'm getting a new phone one way or the other and I need your help.
My first real smartphone was a Palm Treo. Wow! Each key was a perfect uniformed bubble that one could easily memorize its location. Blind texting was a snap. Then my phone was stolen and Palm was no more. So I went Blackberry.
But wait a sec, these keys were slanted, not as user friendly as the Palms. Plus, the BB Curve was narrower bringing the keys closer together creating more errors. Ok, the bigger BB Bold lowered my error margin but the 3G phone's tech had to go when 4G LTE was paramount for my needs.
Next, I was given an iPhone 4s just to try out even though it too was 3G. It took a lot of texting to stop cussing at the virtual keyboard. But I got rid of it shortly because I could not live with the iPhone's battery issues.
So now I have a 4G budget Android phone. Though it lasts 2 days on a charge, its stubborn default settings are not user friendly. Way to many steps to get around on this phone that it badly has me missing my BB Curve.
So I'm getting a new phone one way or the other and I need your help. I want to know if anyone has had both the iPhone 5 and the Blackberry Q10 and which is the phone you kept and why? My belief is that if I can get good on the iPhone's virtual keyboard, then I'd be better off with that phone. But that's my question. Will the iPhones virtual keyboard always pale next to the Blackberry's tactile physical keyboard?
Iphones are the ones to go for
- Texting notification to the person I'm texting? How do I change on my iPhone 5s so the person I'm texting doesn't see that I'm texting them with the bubble
- Is there a texting/chatting app that supports Android, iPhone and Blackberry? My friends and I want to do group texting/chatting, but the problem is that we all have completely different phones. What's the best app to use that's available for all 3 devices? Maybe even Windows phones too?
- Is texting or calling from iPhone to iPhone free if you're in a different country? I live in the US And I'm going to Sydney, Australia for 3 weeks in a little while but I'll only be 17 when I go with one of my friends and I wanted to make sure I could communicate with my mom. There aren't many hotels I can find with free Wi-Fi or even Wi-Fi in general. The hotel we're probably going to stay in only offers wired. Both my mom and I have iPhone's so if we text or call on the cell phone data (I have Verizon) will my phone bill price be crazy high?
- Is it possible to link/sync iPhone to non apple laptop like Blackberry can be with Blackberry blend Currently using q10. It is easy to work as one can sync it with windows laptop with Blend. Using Blend I can even send text messages. Use shared folder and files. But with BB now over I know will have to move on. Ios is good system just like BB. But nobody in my contact uses Apple. I'm not fond of 6inch glass slab used mainly for games/movies etc.
