Unlocking an iPhone for myself?
A few things you should know
-The iPhone is AT&T
-I have Sprint personally
-It is an iPhone 4s with iOS 7 installed.
Here is a problem I have came across
-The email for the original Apple account was not verified, therefore I can't disable "find my iPhone" under iCloud settings.
My question(s)
-What should I do to unlock this iPhone for my own use on my Sprint network?
-Do I need to get an iPhone Sprint SIM card to proceed?
-What is the easiest method for what I'm trying to accomplish?
Please remember that I don't even know where to start, so it is okay to talk to me as if I don't know anything (In fact, I prefer it, I want to be taught)
Apart from the icloud issue, you can't use an att iphone on sprint's network. Att uses gsm (sim) technology and sprint uses cdma radio. Technically the iphone has both gsm and cdma radio, but only the radio that is requries will work. (Gsm on att, tmobile/ cdma verizon, sprint). As for unlocking the iphone, only the owner that has paid off the phone can ask att to unlock it. You could go with an online unlocking, but i don't know how reliable it is.
- Why does my iPhone send iMessages to myself? Ever since i updated my iPhone 4 to the new software I have been recieving my own texts when I attempt to text my dad. I also receive some of his texts from other people. It seems like apple linked our accounts somehow but I don't know how to separate them. We use the same apple ID but it's been that way for over a year now with no problems until now. Any help Is appreciated.
- Unlocking/Jailbreaking an iphone 4 by myself? So i recently baught an iphone 4 with rogers. But i'm currently with fido and i've been trying to jailbreak the phone. First it said i needed a rogers card to activate the phone so i borrowed my friends and now i've tried a couple of methods to unbreak it and it still hasn't worked… Please give me some ideas and i don't wanna pay more money than i already have.
- Back of my iphone is smashed, is it easy to replace the back myself? So. I'm in idiot and dropped my Iphone on hard flooring in my bathroom. The front is fine, luckily. Otherwise I would of flipped out. I need to know if it is easy to replace the back, i've heard of multi color backings as well. Anyone know if this is easy and if there's a place online I can buy a new back?
- Locked myself out of iPhone I recently changed the password on my iPhone, but now I can't remember it and can't get back in. I know you can use Restore, but I'd like to keep my images and iPhoto won't let me transfer images from a locked iPhone. Is there anyway to get around the passcode, or at least keep my pictures? If anyone could help, it would be a HUGE relief and I'll even answer a question of yours if you can help me fix this.
