Unlocking iPhone 4 on Vodafone?

Getting an iPhone 4 in a few weeks time from a friend. I'm with GiffGaff and the phone is locked to Vodafone. The contract on the phone has ended, and the only way I know to unlock it is via the Vodafone unlock service. People have told me my friend has to do this, but with their permission to use the details can I still do it myself? (Fill it in with their details, they have already said I can as they don't have the time)

I think i've already asked a similar question but just need to be clear, thanks!
PS, I DO NOT want to jailbreak the phone! So please no answers saying that it's the only way!

Yes you can unlock I-phone 4 from Vodafone network lock… You can have the details means you can fill it and get the Unlock service unlock it. You can also get the Remote Unlock service from the site http://www.simpleunlocking.com/vodafone-uk-apple-iphone4-unlocking-service/rs16wp10/ and Unlock it from network lock. Then use Any GSM Network Sim card… You can also use Vodafone network sim card again…
