Want to buy iphone 5 from ebay scam or not?
Check the number of transactions and favorability ratings. If both are high, it's probably not a scam. I've bought refurbished phones off ebay sellers and have been happy with them. I got one that had sticky keys, I contacted the seller, and they overnight shipped me a replacement that was fine.
Some are scams, some arent.
1 - Check the seller account
How old is their account? (made that day… Don't buy) Do they have positive feed back? How many? I wouldnt buy a phone from anyone with less than 25 positive feed back and no negative feed back.
2 - Pay with paypal only.
If they suggest another method do not buy from them.
3 - Ask for recorded delivery and the proof of postage sent to you
Look at the sellers feedback score if it is less than 98.5% don't buy. But more importantly click on the seller user name and then click on ""See All" just under where you see a bunch of stars and you can see of that sellers feedback good or bad.

- Selling a iPhone 4 on EBay - Scam I'm selling a IPhone 4 on eBay and a potential bidder is saying they wish to come and view the phone before bidding. This I have no problem with but they are adamant they want my phone number to ring me to arrange coming to see it… Why would they not be happy with my address?
