No, there was never an iPhone 2. The original iPhone came first, then the iPhone 3G, then the 3GS, and then the iPhone 4 onwards. Hope this helped.

Nope. No "iPhone 2" The 2nd was indeed the 3G & the 3rd the 3GS. The 3G does stand for 3rd generation but in that name it was referring to the cellular data technology, not the generation of the device.
