Waterproof phone water inside?
Iphone 8 plus. Brand new, not broken. I took it into the pool, being sure not to drop it or bring it too far down. I let my friends use it and now there's a puddle inside the screen and lines of it. The home button no longer works.
Waterproof is just a lie so the price is higher, that happened to me.
They are water resistant, not waterproof.
Well, that was, frankly, quite dumb.
You need to take it to a place that repairs phones and let them dry it out and find out if anything need to be repaired.
There's nothing you can do except for replace it. Apple will not repair a water damaged phone. Your only hope is if you purchased insurance on the phone from your carrier. You could then pay whatever deductible you chose and get it replaced. If you did not purchase insurance, you are stuck buying another phone. The iPhone 8 Plus is water resistant, it is NOT waterproof. You should treat it as if it were not water resistant and keep it far away from water.
- Will my waterproof iPhone get water damage if I wet it while it has a tiny crack? I have an iPhone 8 which is waterproof but I have a very TINY crack on the screen, you can't see it unless you look for it. I only noticed it was there because I felt it when scrolling on it. My question is, could I still get my phone wet or will it break because the water will go through the crack? I used to love taking it into the ocean with me and I'd like to take it with me while I go tubing.
- Will my iPhone work? It got some water inside? My iPhone got a bit of water inside and it's turning itself on and off all the time. It wasn't that much water though, The battery is quite low and I'm using it as alarm clock… Worrying now that I shouldn't charge it and I won't wake up in the morning withought it. Will it be OK if I wait a couple of hours and then try to charge it or will it damage it even more?

- Water inside screen on iPhone? I just got a couple drops inside my iPhone on accident and now most of the screen is darker in spots? I don't know how to get the water out? I've tried putting it in rice for 12 hours and it didn't do anything!
