What app or photo editor has this hipster looking photo effect?

For iPhone
Here's example

.html

These are nothing but snapshots. What makes them into "hipster shots"?

Except for one, there does not seem to have been any attempt to compose the shots into something interesting and in all cases, the white balance is off, probably due to the shooters neglecting to make sure that the cameras white balance matched the lighting in the scene.

Why would anyone want to emulate such poor quality photos?

What do I mean?

Here is a link to some of the photos I like to emulate when I'm out shooting for my personal enjoyment

http://peteturner.com/

I enjoy using colour as the main element in my photographic compositions and that is what Mr. Turners' photography does.

If you want to up the quality of your "event" photography, take your time when composing and exposing the shots. Use the tools on your cameras to assure that your images are in focus and are interesting to more viewers other than those in the photo.

They're shots where the contrast was reduced in post processing to the point where they would be considered flawed.

What exactly is a hipster looking photo?

  • Why do fandom blogs hate hipster blogs? On tumblr, I've noticed like all the fandom blogs seem to be in agreement that the 'hipster' blogs are some sort of massive amalgamation of shoes and iPhones and overly deep pseudo intellectual text that's really meaningless, and I wonder why? Sure, those things do crop up every once and a while, but not often, and why bother with the hate? I mean, 'hipster' blogs largely just leave you alone and don't bother anyone. Can someone fandom-y tell me why this is?
  • What is this IPhone Photo Editor App? You can add a crescent and full moon to your pictures, and often times the pictures have a thick white boarder (I'm not sure if this is a different app or not) Can anybody tell me what either this app or these apps are? And are they free? And can anybody suggest any others that are either similar or very good, and free as well?
