What do I do after my iphone sits in rice for a week?
I dropped my iphone in the water, i grabbed it quickly. I turned it off & put it in rice… Its been a week and i don't know how to check if its working or not? Do i put it on a charger? Try to turn it on? Or what? Help me out! & if it doesn't turn on what do i do? :/
Yes, you check if it's working. No, don't plug it into a charger. Put the battery in (if you took it out) and turn it on without plugging it in. If it doesn't turn on, then put it on a charger and try turning it on again. If neither work, you should visit an Apple Store or a Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T store (carrier applicable) or your carrier's website. You'll ask for a replacement if you don't have a warranty service on the phone from your carrier (remember, only if it isn't working). You might have to pay extra.

- I put my iPhone in rice after water damage but it's still overheating? My iPhone 4 was only submerged in the water for a matter of seconds, but I dried it up as much as I could and then took it home and put it in a bag of dry rice for 3 days. I then turned it on and put it on charge, but it'll only charge up to 11% before overheating. If I put the phone back in the bag of rice for another couple of days do you think this issue will be solved?
