It may take up to 3-4 days to dry out completely, I know mine did when it fell in the pool.
Shouldnt have been texting on the pooper
Letters? Can you get your Mommy or Daddy to type them out for us?
Leave it off for another 3 days outside of rice to let it properly evaporate. Then replace it since it will cease to work at all in a couple weeks.
Turn it off and back on again. If nothing changes, connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC and check if iTunes can recognize it. If that doesn't work, put your iPhone in recovery mode to restore it. You can check YouTube on how to do that. If everything I've said still doesn't work, your iPhone shorted out and is now useless.
- Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?
- Put my iphone in rice I dropped alcohol in the earphone jack of my iphone 4 last night. When i got home that night i didn't think anything was wrong so i plugged it in the charger and went to bed. This morning it wouldnt turn on so i put it upside down in rice hoping that the liquid would soak up in the rice. I checked it tonight and it turned back on! Is it safe to charge it now? Does this mean there isn't anymore liquid in it? Because it's showing me that it needs to be charged.
- Is it too late to put my iPhone 5 in rice? I dropped my iPhone 5 into the toilet 2 days ago while using iFunny (how clumsy) and it stayed in the toilet for about 10 seconds. I took it out and dried it off with a towel. I didn't have any rice at home at the time so I just left it there. I'm wondering now if it's too late to put it in rice, or should I put it in more water to get the full effect of the rice (I don't think so… ) or should I just carry it to the apple store.
- I put my iPhone in rice after water damage but it's still overheating? My iPhone 4 was only submerged in the water for a matter of seconds, but I dried it up as much as I could and then took it home and put it in a bag of dry rice for 3 days. I then turned it on and put it on charge, but it'll only charge up to 11% before overheating. If I put the phone back in the bag of rice for another couple of days do you think this issue will be solved?
