What do I do when my ios 7 expires?
I'm not a registered developer and I don't have a udid but I got the ios 7 free through a tutorial on youtube.yesterday, my phone shut off and then when I turned it back on, it tells me to 'slide to unlock' then brings me straight to a page that says activation error - this device is not registered as part of the iPhone developer program. If you are a member, please register at http://developer.apple.com/...om/iphone/. When I go to the website, it says they are rebuilding because an intruder has gotten into the system and they can't promise that personal information has not been accessed. The ios 7 update is still in effect on my phone because I the screen still looks that way. I think that it just expired. Is it possible this "intruder" has my information? And will I have to wait for that website to reopen before I can use my phone again? If I reupdate to the latest released version for my iphone (which would be 6.4.1 I think) then will all my stuff- contacts, messages, etc. Be gone? I know its still on there because I heard my phone do my new email ring twice since this happened. So I know its still there now, I just can't get to it. Please if anyone could answer at least one of these questions, that would be a huge help.
Apple's developer center was "hacked" by a good guy who was just trying to warn Apple that they had a problem. Apple is now fixing that problem, which is why the website is down. It's unrelated to your problem.
This is what happens when you don't register your device's UDID like everyone warns you to do before installing iOS 7. You need to get your UDID registered as soon as possible or Apple might permanently disable your device. If you don't want to pay Apple $100 for a full developer account, you can pay $5 at http://www.instantudid.com/ and they'll register your UDID with one of their developer accounts. That's how I registered my 4S, no problems here.
- Will I be able to use my iPhone 5 outside the USA after my contract expires? I have a contract with Verizon that is about to expire in a few months. I'm wondering if I can be able to send it to my sister in the Philippines and still work over there if she inserted a Philippines sim card. Or do I have to jailbreak or unlock it?
- What happens when iOS 7 beta 1 expires? What will happen to my iphone 5 when the ios 7 beta one expires? I know I would have to go through the same process that I did to get the first one but I have a registered udid. Does this allow me to get the ota update and do I still have to download the firmware on the computer and update it manually? Any help would be much appreciated.
- What happens to an iPhone 5 after the plan expires? I'm a resident outside of the United States and don't quite understand how this all works. If my relative purchases an iphone 5 for $199 from Verizon( or any other carrier) can I use my own methods (suchs as GPP Sim unlock) to unlock the phone for use of the phone on carriers outside of the US? Or does it mean the phone will have a bad ESN and I can't use it?
- My iPhone warranty expires in 45 minutes? My lock button has broken on the day, the actual day my warranty runs out! Is there anything I can do? Or will I just have to pay now?
