What do I have to do to babysit at 14?

I really want a job to make money so I can buy a iPhone 5 because I have a Windows Phone and it sucks balls. Since I'm 14 and I have to be 16 to have a real job I decided I wanted to babysit. So do I have to take some type of class or could I just ask people I know to babysit their little ones?

You can let it be known that you are willing to do odd jobs, including babysit, to the adults you know. Don't limit yourself to babysitting. You could be the most mature, responsible 14 year old on the planet and some people will still shy away because of your age. However, other jobs, like dog walking, yardwork, washing their car, or helping to clean a basement or garage would be perfectly fine to them. Don't put up signs, don't work for a total stranger. If you do something for a friend of an adult you know, and you haven't met the person personally, always tell your parents where you are going and how long you expect the job to take.

I agree with Jennifer no matter your maturity or anything else I would PERSONALLY not allow you to sit with children. At 14 you are way to in love with gadgets and the time the take from your watching constantly.

I also agree there are many odd jobs available and sure they are a bit more work, well not really, that you can do. Stay out of houses unless your parents are comfortable with you being inside that home. Mom and Dad are your best sources of jobs as they can tell the people they trust that you are available for all these odd jobs.

WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE AS PARENTS WOULD TAKE A FIT AT EVEN READING THIS POST WITH THE WORDS " and it sucks balls" IN IT.

gOOD LUCK ON GETTING THAT PHONE YOU WANT, YOU ARE A VERY ENTERPRISING YOUNG PERSON AND WILL BE GOOD AT DO THE CHORES LISTED FOR YOU.

That last paragraph was not meant to be caps sorry!
