What do I have to pay when getting a new Iphone?
I'm not really good at understanding phone contract plans. So I have an Iphone 4S, and my 2 year contract with O2 is ending now. I want to have the Iphone 6 16GB now as my new phone. The plan that I saw on O2 says that I have to pay 29.99£ up front, and then 43£ per month for the next 24 months. So, what I don't get is, is this EVERYTHING that I will have to pay, or will I also have to actually buy the Iphone first, for whatevre price it is, let's say 200£. Is the price of the Iphone itself already included in those 43£ I will pay monthly, or not? Am I gonna be paying the cost of the Iphone in 24 separate instalments or do I have to pay a price when I go into the store? Because I don't see anything saying about the price of the phone itself. Please help me I'm really dumb.
Added (1). I don't really remember the process I went through when buying my Iphone 4S, that's why I'm kind of lost. I know I pay 41 pounds each month for O2. I don't remember what I paid when I got the Iphone 4S 2 years ago.
Where it says "upfront cost", that is what you pay for the phone straight away, then your bill of £43 is made up of the remainder of the phone amount and your airtime (texts, data eg). So for example, £23 for your phone and £20 for your texts/calls = £43 per month and nothing else.
- Would I have to to pay extra for the new updated iPhone? My iPhone 6 recently broke 8 months ago and Apple is willing to give me a new one, I was wondering would they give me the newest iPhone 6s rose gold? Not for free of course but would I have to pay extra money? Like 100-200 pound extra for it?
- Verizon upgrade fee? Can I pay at the store or do I have to pay it the next bill? I plan on upgrading my phone and renewing my contract next month in January. I plan on getting the iPhone 5s. I'm on this family plan with one line. Is there's an activation fee that I have to pay? Can I pay the upgrade fee at the store while purchasing the new phone? Or do I have to pay it on the next bill?
- Is pay as you go better than pay monthy for an iphone? I can either can an iphone 4 (32gb with small scratch on screen) for 100 pounds and then have a pay as you go sim or an 8gb iphone 4 for "effectively 14.88 a month". Which works out the better deal?
- If you pay monthly for a phone is there anything else you have to pay? For Christmas I want an iPhone 8+ and pay it monthly. I would buy it from something like Verizon, us cellular, att, and others. Would I have to pay any other fees? Say it was like $23.50 a month for 24 months. Would I have to pay anything else after 24 months?
